OUR SHOP

    We built a new shop in the summer of 2006.  It covers an area of 60 feet x 88 feet, with the shop coming in at 48 feet x 64 feet with a 12 foot ceiling height.  There is also an office built in, which measures 16 feet x 20 feet, we use it as a clean room for storage of most auto parts, lines and fittings as well as office and computer area.  The office and the shop is heated with three large electric heaters.  We chose these because they do not pose a danger to fuel fumes or paint vapors, safety should always come first!

Early in the construction phase, the main building is up just

waiting on the plumbing and then the concrete.

We built our shop with a 10 foot over-hang around the front and side of the building.  This provides us with a semi-protected area outside of the shop, which really helps relieve congestion in the shop.

West-side of the building is our welding area, and where all the fun stuff happens. Shown is our welding table (40" x 162"), which is made from 4" channel and serves as a surface plate as well. There is also  a 10' x 12' overhead door for easy access.

Tire rack with some pretty large (37" Dick Capek Fun Country II's) off-road tires.

Isn't an empty material rack a sad, sad sight?  Don't worry, we took care of that!

Front door is a 16' x 12' high door, and by looking at our extra,extra high enclosed trailer, you can see we need every bit of that 12 foot high door.

The floor was epoxy coated, and adds alot to the look and feel of the shop.
